When Tragedy Strikes

It was a beautiful day, as is any day when there is a wedding about to take place.  It was cool, fall weather.  Inside the lodge looked beautiful, like a middle of the woods fairytale come true!  There were bright yellow flowers everywhere, family and friends gathered, happiness exuded from every corner!  Friends of the bride were busy making sure everything was just perfect, I included.  It would be a small wedding, those closest to the bride and the groom in attendance! It was almost time!
In walked the groom and his groomsman.  The groom was so excited with just a touch of nerves thrown in for good measure.  They took their places at the front of the room!  The groom stood, hands in front of him, smile as wide as the moon on his face.  He shifted from foot to foot in anticipation.  You could see that he was almost ready to burst from the last few minutes wait until he would have the love of his life take his side!
And so began the processional of Bridesmaids down the aisle!  The grooms face lit up as the bride took her place at the end of the aisle.  Her face glowing with love and anticipation as she focused on her groom and her groom alone.  The groom dropped his hands to his sides as  his bride made the slow march towards him.  She was adorned in white, a simple, beautiful dress.  Her head encircled with small sunflowers, hair, long and brown, flowing over her shoulders.  She joined her groom at the front of the room and they turned, together, to be married.
The ceremony caused many tears of emotion and so much joy.  The couple were madly and completely in love with each other. The knowledge that they would spend the rest of their lives together as husband and wife spread across their faces with laughter and smiles!  Knowing, today was the first day of "us" was obvious in every small gesture, hand touch, and dance the new couple shared.  This is how I will remember them, this is how they will live in my heart.
The news broke a few days ago "Husband dead of single stab wound to left chest.  Wife in custody for murder."  No one knows how a marriage goes from starting the way this one did to the way it ended.  I know they loved each other, and I know they had their problems.  A true tragedy. 

Well, that didn't last very long!

Ok, I admit, I wasn't able to return after my, "I'm back" post.  I think I might have been a little bit gun shy.  Right now, I'm VERY gun shy.  Why?  I guess because I forgot the reason that I am writing.  Although people have told me I'm inspirational and uplifting, I'm not sure I believe it.  I want to be, I strive to be, but honestly, only for me.  So, here I am, again, trying this blog thing out.  I guess I just need to push forward and do what I need to do.  I love to write and I love to take pictures, so I will do what I can with this blog.  The idea of having a blog has ALWAYS interested and excited me.  I will do my best to post, to be positive and to give any one reading this something that they can take away in a good way!

I'm back!

I have had several friends tell me that I need to do a blog!  I have tried to blog before and ended up deleting it.  Well, they say that I am inspirational and uplifting and I need to share it with more people!  I'm not sure about all of that but I do know what it's like to have a beaten spirit and live with negativity and it's not fun!  I want to help people!  I want to be an inspiration!  I want life to be as much fun as possible!

I am a mom to 4 of the most amazing kids anyone could ever ask for and I live for them!  I am a nurse!  I have a boyfriend who has a dog and is getting a puppy soon!  My life is very full.  There are good days and bad, ups and downs and mostly just crazy, on the go everything!  

A little more about me - I love to bake.  I LOVE The Walking Dead tv show and am an avid prepper (but not an insane one).  I have joined the ranks of Hunters and went out deer hunting this past season, but, did not get anything. I LOVE living in the mountains and believe that any bad day can be fixed by a walk in the woods!   Some of things I will share in this blog - recipes, ideas about food and food prep and things I find on Pinterest that I want to try and will see if they work!  Everyday life stories and my beliefs.  Pictures because I LOVE to take pictures, but I am not a photographer by any means, I just love pictures.  Many random things, events and stuff that just happen in my life!

Well, that will be it for now, but I really hope to do this blog.  It will be a mishmash of everything pertaining to my life, my beliefs, my world.  I hope you find something for you and I hope you all enjoy it!  Have a great day!
